I dip my toe into Linux from time to time – I’m running Linux on an old MacBook Air at the moment – and find the choice bewildering.

I’m not a hobbyist or a developer. But I love the idea and ideals of Open Source.

However, the fragmentation makes it too difficult to adopt Linux. I stay with macOS because it makes fewer demands on me as a user.

We are not going to have the year of the Linux desktop until the friction of entry is reduced, IMHO.
